MIGRATION PATTERNS

The photographs of this project are carefully manipulated, separating the emulsion layer from the cardboard support to create an imaginary map of migrations. What initially seemed like a playful game about the joyful movements of birds becomes a metaphor for human migrations and the losses they spawn.

This project has gone through several stages, emerging increasingly chaotic and disordered, turning into progressive violent acts, as if striving to represent the individual losses of migrants, the separation from their groups and families, and the hardships they face.
